BrainDev Kyiv is glad to invite you to the Knowledge Corner! Started as internal meet-ups at the office where our developers were sharing with each other short presentations about news and interesting hints it grew up into idea of creating similar meet-up but for everyone willing to know something new, share knowledges or simply get to know new people.

This time our event will be dedicated to Agile,different ways to move to the U.S.A from legal perspective and last not least tech side of fresh idea of book sharing as possible startup.

With more than ten years experience in IT field Oleksandr was involved in development of numerous hardware and software systems. His passion is to solve non-trivial tasks with communication devices, monitoring and security systems, multimedia and web production, game development, management techniques.

Now Oleksandr works on AAA projects in Crytek. His role is to constantly seek for organizational workflow improvements, define management and development standards, design and develop automation tools and templates.

Another startup idea: Booksharing plarform

This time Ievgenii wants to share the idea of the startup - the platform for books' exchanges. He will tell about technologies stack used, describe how he sees the implementation process, will try to predict future development challenges. Also Ievgenii will say few words about possible monetization strategies, and will be glad to hear any feedback, propositions and ideas.

Ievgenii Narovlianskyi is a Software Developer in SeniorDevOnly AS, who has lot of experience developing large and small web systems of different kinds using Ruby language. He uses Ruby as his primary server-side language. Ievgenii is always open to share his skills with anyone who is interested in simple and efficient backend language with elegant syntax and good performance.
He is also interested in cybernetics, robotics, artificial intelligence and synergetics.

Moving to the USA - legal point of view

In this lecture Elisabeth will tell shortly about different ways to move to the U.S. such as employment-based and family based immigration, asylum cases, and Diversity Visa Lottery. Further, the speaker will focus on the topic of interest for IT community - employment-based non-immigrant visas including H1B Specialty Occupation Visas, L1 Intracompany Transfers, E1/E2 Treaty visas. The lecture will be interactive. Elisabeth will try to adapt to audience’s interests and answer as many questions as possible.

Elizabeth Veynberg is an experienced immigration lawyer licensed in California. She received an LL.M. degree from UC Berkeley, one of the top Law Schools in the U.S. She spent the first three years of her legal career working as an assistant to the Judge in the Commercial Court of Kyiv. Elizabeth relocated to the U.S. to study law in 2010. After obtaining Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Berkeley Law School, she passed the California Lawyer Exam, and worked in prestigious Bay Area Law Firms. Subsequently, she opened her own Immigration Law Office successfully representing clients in diverse variety of immigrant and non-immigrant cases ranging from employment-based and family-based immigration cases to investment immigration. Asylum cases comprise a substantial part of her expertise.
